Introduction
To compliment the Wozair range of air conditioning, air movement and ventilation products Wozair offer a range of noise control equipment including:
Duct mounted attenuators for square, rectangular and circular ducts
Cross-talk attenuators
Active attenuators
Attenuated plenum boxes
Acoustic louvres
Acoustic enclosures
Design review of system to ensure correct selection of attenuator selections
Products are generally manufactured from austentic stainless steel grade 304 or 316L but are also available in galvanised steel.
Attenuators/Splitters
Splitter type attenuators can be supplied in straight, bend or cross talk arrangements for square and rectangular ductwork. They are fitted with resonant cavity/absorptive splitters giving maximum noise reduction with a minimum resistance to airflow.
Circular attenuators are available with or without a central pod.
The infill is an inorganic nonhygroscopic, flame, moisture and vermin proof mineral fibre. Where the attenuator is installed in moisture or grease laden environments the infill is covered in Melinex or glass cloth.
Duct mounted attenuators are complete with casing and angle flanges drilled for mounting the unit in the ductwork whereas splitters can be provided for mounting within customers ductwork.
Full performance figures giving static and dynamic insertion losses, self generated sound power levels and static pressure drop are available on request.

Plant Enclosures and Acoustic Louvres
High levels of noise from plant and machinery, such as generator and compressor housings, can cause hearing loss, reduced worker efficiency and nuisance. To overcome these problems sound resistant enclosures can be provided to reduce noise emissions from any piece of plant or machinery. Any size or type can be accommodated, often incorporating standard modular sound resistant panels which can facilitate site erection on exposed or restricted sites. For externally mounted plant requiring a screen or enclosure, Wozair acoustic louvres have been designed to combine the functions of a louvre and an attenuator in one compact unit.
Full performance figures giving transmission losses, static pressure drop and self generated sound power levels are available on request.
Performance Data
Attenuator performance data has been derived from tests carried out in accordance with BS 4718. Insertion loss, generated noise and pressure drop were measured within a system where the attenuator forms part of a ducted system discharging into a reverberant chamber having characteristics as required by ISO 3743.
Sound resistant enclosure and acoustic louvre performance data has been derived from tests carried out in accordance with BS 2750 Part 3 and ISO 140 Part 3.
